These photos were taken before and during the Community Day Grand Opening of San Jose Convention Center's Expansion, held on October 10, 2013. Not only did it mark the public opening of the expansion (including the grand ballroom), but it also marked the activation of the Idea Tree, an interactive public art piece installed where the fountain used to be until two years previous.
